Titanium Exhaust Pipe

Titanium Exhaust Pipes are new-born products, which are mainly used on high level sports cars and motorcycles. 

Just because it is new, it has big market for racing / sports cars.

1. Titanium exhaust pipe has half weight of stainless steel material.

Titanium is light, density is 4.51 g/cm³  which will be much more helpful to reduce the vehicle weight, so that help your ride produce max performance / speed.

Same dimension tubes’ weight is just the half weight of steel. (SS 316L Density, 7.98 g/cm³).

2. Titanium is long-life metal.

Titanium is anti-corrosion, it will never rust no matter how tough environment your cars are in. Mud, oil, sewage or even acidic condition, your titanium exhaust will be always shiny after you water clean it.

Titanium has high strength. Its light weight doesn’t decrease its strength. After proper heat treatment, its tensile strength can reach to 420 MPa. (very close to 316L )

 

3. Key points to make high quality exhaust pipe use Titanium tubes

The 1^st step to make high quality titanium tube (used on exhaust pipe) is titanium raw material - Titanium Sponge. We’ll choose Grade 0 and Grade 1 ti sponge to smelting ingot as material.

The 2^nd factor to make good titanium tube, is good heat treatment.  Good strength, and at the same time easily to bend.

Titanium tube surface is what buyers care most, because clean tube surface will help makers bend beautiful exhaust pipes. We use special pickling method and proper wrap packing to help tubes clean. 

4. Most common size for exhaust pipes.

The common size for Titanium exhaust pipe use are: OD 2 inch (50.8 mm), 2.5 inch (63.5 mm), 3 inch (76.2 mm), 3.5 inch (88.9 mm) and 4 inch (101.6 mm).

Wall thickness will be 0.8 to 1.6 mm .
